Get one centralized, chronological view of your content with Arc XP WebSked

WebSked’s calendar gives users a complete view of their content schedule to understand content flows, identify opportunities and change schedules with ease.

Whether your content team is two people or two hundred, content planning is challenging for teams of all sizes. It’s no wonder, between drafting and creating visuals, circulating drafts, consolidating feedback, and coordinating distribution – all of this happening within several tools and communications channels – it’s easy to see how time-consuming and headache-inducing content planning has become.

WebSked centralizes planning, workflows, and task management within Arc XP Content, our agile content management system, to bring order and efficiency to the content creation process. In this post, we highlight WebSked’s calendar feature and how it gives users a complete view of their content schedule to understand content flows, identify opportunities, and change schedules with ease.

How WebSked’s calendar feature works

Designed with the complexities of editorial planning in mind, WebSked’s calendar presents Arc XP users with a complete picture of their content, both scheduled, unscheduled, and published, in a single view.

Opt to view the content for a single day or for up to seven days in a row and move content around by dragging and dropping, making it easy to plan and adjust content schedules, spread out pieces, and identify gaps or opportunities. This means easier content planning and more agility for your content operations.

There are options to filter by:

  • content type
  • publish status
  • workflow status
  • paywall status
  • website and section

Using the combination of the dynamic view and filters, users can quickly see what different teams are working on, what content is scheduled for which distribution channels, and compare publishing cadences for subscriber-only content versus metered or free content.

Crafting a more effective content strategy

Maintaining a structured content calendar enables teams to:

  1. Keep a consistent publishing schedule ensuring audiences know when to expect new content, which can lead to increased engagement and loyalty.
  2. Increase advanced planning, allowing for better coordination and collaboration while maintaining organizational goals and objectives.
  3. Avoid last-minute rushes and ensure that all content is completed in a timely manner, improving overall efficiency.
  4. Allocate resources more effectively by knowing what content needs to be produced and when.
  5. Better track data and metrics to measure content performance, identify what content is resonating with audiences, and adjust strategies accordingly.

With WebSked, Arc XP users receive the benefits of a structured content calendar natively built into the Arc XP Content CMS for one, single source of truth across content activities.
