Arc XP Intelligence: The Future of Content is Intelligent

Joey Croney speaking at NAB

“If your content can be easily replaced or repackaged by AI, it’s probably not valuable enough.”

At recent industry events, you may have heard our CTO, Joe Croney, share this insight.

As we’ve built out Arc XP Intelligence and deepened our AI conversations with customers, one thing has become clear: The embrace of AI in the media industry is about much more than technology.

It’s about redefining content strategy, strengthening audience trust, and shaping the role of media organizations in the AI era.

At Arc XP, we believe that those who succeed in this new era of AI won’t be those who simply automate and publish faster.

Instead, the winners of the new AI-driven landscape will be those who prioritize meaning — originality, nuance, voice, and identity — the intangibles that are harder for AI to recreate, and more essential than ever for standing out in a sea of sameness.

It’s also why Arc XP has built a different kind of AI toolset: one designed to elevate the work that truly matters, not just automate the work that doesn’t.

Where AI is Going, and What it Means for Media

In the past year alone, AI has moved from exciting experiment to table stakes expectation. Media organizations are racing to integrate AI into their workflows — but that prioritization of tools over outcome can come with real risks, like:

  • Content that feels generic and interchangeable
  • Tools that prioritize speed over strategy
  • Disparate systems that generate more noise, not more value
  • Underwhelming newsroom adoption due to misaligned or inaccurate results

The AI opportunity for media organizations is much bigger than simply creating more content faster. It’s about building intelligent content systems — designed to amplify the unique voices, brands, and missions behind them.

That’s the vision guiding our AI development at Arc XP: building the tools that media companies need to transform their business for success in the new era.

Introducing Vector-Powered Content Intelligence

Our newest AI capabilities go beyond automation, helping you make your existing content library a strategic asset to drive engagement and growth.

In a world flooded with information, finding the right content at the right time is challenging. Our new vector database functionality fundamentally reimagines that process. It uses multi-dimensional content mapping (powered by MongoDB) to understand deeper context and relationships between content — so you can better surface, interlink, and recommend content to your audiences.

Instead of relying only on keywords or manual tagging, vector search understands the contextual meaning behind content — enabling recommendations averaging smarter content recirculation, more accurate recommendations, and discovery experiences that feel intuitive, not overwhelming.

On average, vector-based recommendations return content with over 80% similarity to the original piece. That level of precision is critical for media companies, where large content libraries can often obscure the most relevant and valuable articles.

Vectors are also the foundation for AI agents. Arc XP is currently building several agents to assist in key editorial processes — like streamlining research, copy editing, publishing, and more. The native vector database in Arc XP will be key for these agents to understand the context and intent of the pieces in your content library, ultimately driving better results.

The Most Advanced AI Toolkit for Media Companies

This new release joins our existing suite of AI tools, all purpose-built for media companies. From workflow automation to AI agents, Arc XP Intelligence is providing the media industry with smarter AI tools that power stronger strategies and faster growth.

Here are some key areas where we differ from other AI tools:

  • Workflow Automation and Beyond: Automate routine tasks to boost efficiency, then go further with AI-driven workflows and intelligent agents that enhance editorial strategy — all while keeping control over the process
  • AI-Powered Translations & Audio Articles: Break language and format barriers to grow your audience — right from your existing workflow, no extra tools needed
  • Customize Models for Your Use Case: Configure AI models to learn and better match your content, style, and audience — because one-size-fits-all AI won’t cut it
  • Full Control Over Your AI Strategy: Implement AI on your terms, with governance tools, transparency, and monitoring that ensure AI works for you

Arc XP customers like Le Parisien have used our AI tools to not only publish faster, but also to help journalists spend more time on what matters most:

  • “We are working with the AI Editor to help our journalists concentrate on their first and primary mission — not manual tasks like tagging stories or finding photos, which don’t really add value. We’re helping journalists gather and share information more efficiently, which is what our readers care about.”

Building the Future of Intelligent Content

This release is more than new features — it’s the foundation of a new content future. In a world where AI can create anything, true value will come from what AI can’t easily replicate: Originality. Trust. Human voice. Depth of perspective.

We’re designing AI that strengthens those advantages, and we’re just getting started.
